Peacock Management Discussion

Attention Pirates Cove Residents:

Our local peacock flock has grown to over 20 birds, with several new chicks recently added. As the population continues to increase, it’s time to come together as a community to discuss next steps for humane management and long-term planning.

Join us for an informal meeting hosted by Gale Raban, a fellow Pirates Cove resident, who has been actively researching humane population control methods, including working with veterinarians who specialize in peafowl care.

Topics will include:

1. Current flock size and growth trends
2. Humane control methods (e.g., vasectomy program)
3. Fundraising and volunteer opportunities
4. Q&A and open community discussion
